African champions cross paths with Ghana at the Games – Jornal OPaís

The National Senior Women’s Handball Team is in group A, of the thirteenth edition of the African Games, taking place in Accra, Ghana, from the 13th to the 22nd of the coming month.

The national team, holder of the title, will also face, at the Borteyman Sports Complex, Algeria, Burkina Faso and hosts Ghana, according to the draw held on Saturday followingnoon.

The Cameroon team, runner-up in title, is in group B with DRC, Uganda and Mali. Under Carlos Viver’s orders, the “pearls (name of the senior women’s handball team) will participate in the event only with players who evolve internally.

From the military background, the coach called up 12 players and seven from Petro de Luanda. Here are Carlos Viver’s chosen ones: Marta Alberto, Eliane Paulo, Paulina da Silva, Nairia João, Bongo Masseu, Dolores do Rosário, Luzia Kiala, Estefânia Venâncio, Tayane Castro, Lília, Mário, Bernardeth Belo, Marília Quizelete, Chelsia Gabriel, Regina Lino, Dalva Peres, Vilma Nenganga, Juliana Machado, Vivaldo da Silva and Isabel Guialo.
