At 61, Henri Béasse, the boss of La cravache d’or, a PMU bar located in Argentré (Mayenne), ceased his activity on Sunday March 17, 2024. The retiree now wants to indulge in one of his passions: reading and more precisely the story.
After 20 years of activity in the fish market, in the markets, in the Paris region and in mass distribution, Henri Béasse wanted to find autonomy and the solution was to set up on his own.
The choice of establishment was made naturally for the PMU bar. “ I had already worked in commerce and I am passionate regarding race horses”specifies Henri Béasse.
His fondest memory: a jackpot in 2018
The opening therefore took place on July 24, 2006. During these 18 years, he explains that “the big negative side was Covid with a period of closure of 9 months out of 14 months, intermittently”.
When he looks in the rearview mirror, this merchant is very satisfied with the many links he has established with his customers, whom he thanks. His fondest memory? The day a customer won €132,000 at PMU, in September 2018. “What shared joy, but I also appreciated when my horse, Tréabat Diamond, won at Vincennes. The customers put a small coin on him, it was a real pleasure together,” he adds.
