In the program Malou Möter, Anne-Charlotte tells regarding how the couple met. It wasn’t a traditional date – to say the least.
– I was depressed and needed some joy in life. So I persuaded my friends that we should see Tommy Körberg, because he was my idol, says Anne-Charlotte in the program.
Anne-Charlotte and Tommy met eyes when he was on stage, and that’s the way it is. But at the beginning, Anne-Charlotte refrained from saying Tommy’s first name. It was tough for her to come to terms with being with a celebrity.
– The name was connected with Tommy Körberg. The idol. So I said ‘honey’ all the time”. I only said it a couple of years later, that I had difficulty saying his name, says Anne-Charlotte.
A crisis for Tommy Körberg and his wife
In the summer of 2023, Tommy became seriously ill. It was a tough time for both him and Anne-Charlotte, who was an indispensable support for her husband. It was a crisis called enough.
– I was with. I drove him. I got worried because he had a fever for almost two weeks and no other symptoms. It was the same symptom I had when I got sick, so then I started and was persuaded that we should go in and take samples on Friday. On Monday we went into town and then the doctor said: no, no no. You don’t even go home. You go straight to the emergency room, says Anne-Charlotte.
– My wife took care of me very well. It was nice to have a person who was in my social vicinity. But I was angry that I got sick too. An anger. But anger can be a good source of recovery, I think, says Tommy.
