Two days ago, Lahore Police arrested six operatives of the international drug peddling group “Jordan Gang” in a very important operation.
Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) DIG Imran Kishor informed the British news agency “BBC” regarding the surprising details regarding this operation.
Imran Kishor said that ‘we had caught six gangs before catching this gang under the anti-narcotics campaign. Among them were Kashif Gang, Maqsood Gang, Bobby Gang which included foreigners as well as Pakistanis. As we also caught six Nigerian nationals who were bringing cocaine from abroad to Pakistan, which was sold here.’
DIG Imran Kishor said that whenever we got any information regarding drugs, Jordan’s name would come up in it, but we had no information except the name “Jordan”.
He said that this gang was working in a very smart and organized manner for the last 12 years. These people did not have any criminal records, these people worked online and most of their buyers were children, women and men of the elite society of Lahore who had no money problems and they easily transferred money to them online. They used to buy goods for drunkenness.
Imran Kishor told BBC that this gang was selling narcotics worth one to one and a half million rupees a day in Lahore city alone, these narcotics were also sold in schools, colleges, universities and posh areas of Lahore. was sold and various delivery companies were used in this work using fake identity cards and addresses.
He said that the people of the Jordan gang were also selling drugs mixed in various things like chocolate, vapes and jelly etc. This gang was selling all kinds of drugs including ice, cocaine, weed, hemp, hashish, HTC Plus and all the new types of addiction were included.
CCPO Lahore Bilal Kamiana also gave a BBC interview in this regard and said that in order to catch the operatives of this gang, the police first put their men behind them and told them that we want to buy goods from you. For this work we bought goods worth Rs.15 lakhs from them at local level which started getting their phone numbers and bank account details.
According to Bilal Kamiana, we saw through the CCTV who came to book his goods with the courier company. We found these people and chased them.
He further said that when our people became their regular customers, we talked to them regarding purchasing internationally. Thus, we found out that the Jordanian gang operates in countries like Thailand, Canada, Dubai, Vietnam, Mexico and the United States in addition to Pakistan, and the goods were also brought to Pakistan from there.
He said that in this way, the police expanded the scope of the investigation through the information of International Accounts, then the base of this gang was found in Lahore. There were three houses of DHA Phase 6 in Lahore together, which we suspected. . We put our servants on guard there.
According to Bilal Kamiana, we decided to crack down on the three houses together so that the real accused might not escape. When we raided these houses, there were nine guards in the said house. Big cars were parked in the garage. Large quantities of drugs worth more than Rs 25 crore were recovered from these houses.
