VIENNA – A large proportion of women explain why they cannot take care of their children full-time – current data shows this, Tobias Thomas, director of Statistics Austria, explained at a press conference. Families Minister Susanna Raab (ÖVP) also knows that there is still much work to be done when it comes to childcare. She therefore repeatedly mentioned the government’s package, which provides around €4.5 billion to care facilities by 2030.
