A family has emerged from India that donates blood responsibly.
According to Indian media reports, the said family belongs to the state of Madhya Pradesh and is known as the blood family. The family has so far donated blood 220 times, which is about 110 liters.
According to the report, the 55-year-old head of the family, Sarabjit Singh Narang, has said that he has donated blood 161 times so far.
Sarbjit Singh Narang’s elder son Sukhnam Singh Narang has donated blood 40 times while his 19-year-old younger son Sukhard Singh Narang has donated blood 5 times.
Sarabjit Singh Narang said that once he met a child suffering from thalassemia. When they came to know that thalassemia is a serious disease that requires frequent blood transfusions. The Indian citizen said that this thought kept running in my mind while returning home. As soon as I got home, I shared this with my wife. Then, I made a commitment to my family that we would continue donating blood. As a result, today we have collectively donated blood more than 220 times.
