Austen Doesn’t Trust JT and Believes He Needs to Face the Music
Austen Kroll is ready to spill the tea on his fractured relationship with JT Thomas. After a tumultuous Season 9, they entered Season 10 with no signs of reconciliation and the tension remains palpable. Things are so bad that Kroll said he doesn’t even trust Thomas.
The "Pillows And Beer" host admitted to People that even being in the same room with Thomas, let alone on camera, is an ordeal. “If you have to be around him, you’re old enough to know it’s just going to be awful, awful, awful. Every time that you see him, you just don’t want to punch him in the face. I am trying my hardest in the beginning to fight these [tendencies],” Austen revealed.
He continued, sharing that he’s still figuring out how to deal with Thomas moving forward.
“I’m trying to figure it out on the fly of what am I going to do? How am I going to be around this person? I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him, which actually I could probably throw him pretty far if we’re being honest. So that’s where my head is,” confessed Kroll.
Their bad blood stems from multiple incidents, but Austen seems particularly concerned with what he defined as "slander" directed at him during the Season 9 reunion.
JT’s attempt at an olive branch during this season seemed frivolous to Austen. Thomas attempted to make amends after claiming to have had a near-death experience in Costa Rica by gifting canes to the cast.
“There’s still some bad blood on my end,” Kroll admitted. "You don’t just slander someone with horrible and awful things for as long as he did at the reunion and then expect it to all be cool.”
Adding fuel to the fire is JT quit the show and won’t be attending the highly anticipated reunion, a key component in
the Bravo universe.
“In the Bravo universe, there are like three certainties: there’s death, there’s taxes and there’s your f—ing reunion,” Austen stated. "You go to your reunion, you face the music; you hopefully face it in a good enough manner so you can clean slate. It’s very apparent to me that he doesn’t want to have to face the music for all the things that you’re about to see on this upcoming season"
