Music Royalty Pays Tribute at Historic Beacon Theatre
The Music of the Allman Brothers Band echoed through New York City on Dec. 7, 2023. Not from the legendary Allman Brothers Band themselves, but from the Allman Betts Family Revival, a rotating roster of talent honoring Gregg and Duane Allman’s legacy.
The eighth annual Allman Betts Family Revival stopped at the iconic Beacon Theatre – a venue imbued with Allman Brothers history. For decades, the Allman Brothers Band graced the Beacon stage for well over 230 shows, making it feel like a homecoming for sons Devon Allman and Duane Betts, who lead this musical pilgrimage.
The December 7th show was its final stop of a 19 date tribute tour. The venue resonated with energy, aligning perfectly with the 8th anniversary.
Adding to the celebratory spirit, the evening took place on the eve of what would have been Gregg Allman’s 77th birthday.
