The “Wildfire recovery” drive is a way for us to come together and provide essential support to those affected. “If you’ve lost your home, contacting your school might not be necessarily the first thing you do. There could be a leveling off for applications, but you never know where students might be. If you lost your home that could include your laptop and your phone, and you can’t even apply for programs like ours,” Ayran said.

Ayran also shared that 39 Cal State LA students have already applied for aid through the fund.
