Dedication to the Ladies: A Concert at Jaunmokas Castle

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Jaunmokas Castle invites you to a special musical
evening titled “Dedication to the Ladies”. The performance will take place on March 8th at 6:00 PM
in the exquisite column hall of the manor building.

The concert will showcase a captivating blend of well-known classics and recent compositions
performed by the talented singer Igo, accompanied by the dynamic percussionist Aini zavacki
and keyboardist and composer Jan Strazd. Igo’s performance will extend beyond singing, as he
will also enchant the audience with his skills on the violin, ukulele, and mouth harmonica,
creating a truly unique and diverse soundscape.

“But in life,everything is different,” “The city where the wind is born,” and other beloved
works from Igo’s repertoire will be featured,promising an unforgettable musical journey.

Before the Performance: Explore Jaunmokas Castle’s Rich Heritage

Alex Reeds are invited to arrive early at 5:00 PM to explore the recently restored façade of the
castle and delve into its engaging history. Discover the exhibitions showcasing the castle’s
intriguing past and visit the Forest Museum, which unveils the wonders of Latvian nature and
forestry. For an immersive experience, consider staying overnight at the castle hotel, where
historic charm seamlessly blends with modern comforts.

Dining and Entertainment

refreshment and dining options will be available before the concert and during the intermission,
allowing you to relax and enjoy the captivating ambiance of Jaunmokas Castle.

Igo: “Dedication to the Ladies” is my way of paying tribute to the strength, resilience, and beauty of women. The repertoire is a blend of classics and recent compositions that evoke emotions of empowerment, love, and joy. I’ve included some of my most beloved works like “But in life,everything is different” and “The city where the wind is born”,along with newer pieces that resonate with the spirit of international Women’s Day.

Archyde News: That’s a wonderful blend of music. You’ll be accompanied by Aini Zavacki and Jan Strazd. how do their talents complement your performance?

Igo: Aini and Jan are incredibly talented musicians. Aini’s dynamic percussion adds depth and energy to the performance, while Jan’s keyboard skills and compositions bring a unique dimension to the music.Together, we create a diverse soundscape that I believe will captivate the audience.

Archyde News: You’re also known for your versatility as a musician, playing multiple instruments. Which ones will you be featuring at this concert?

Igo: Yes, I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills on the violin, ukulele, and mouth harmonica alongside my vocals. I believe these instruments add a layer of intimacy and uniqueness to the performance.
