Michelle Williams: (Laughs) It certainly was! I received this lovely letter from a fan named Phillip, who praised my “performances” in films like “Blue Valentine,” “Manchester by the Sea,” and “The Greatest Showman.” It was incredibly sweet,and I have to admit,I was flattered he thought I could pull off those roles! The letter was absolutely phenomenal.
Amelia Hayes: What was your initial reaction upon realizing the mix-up?
Michelle Williams: Honestly, amusement! This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. I think most people who are online know which Michelle Williams they’re looking at! But, it’s always a good reminder to double-check those tags and searches.

Amelia Hayes: we understand you’ve reached out to the actress Michelle Williams about this. Can you tell us a little more?
Michelle Williams: Yes, Michelle [the actress] knows what’s going on as well! We’re actually planning to meet up soon, hopefully sooner rather than later and are both hoping to share a laugh about this unique situation in person.
Amelia Hayes: Shifting gears, congratulations on the 100th performance of “Death Becomes Her” on Broadway! How has that experience been?
Michelle williams: Thank you! It’s been an absolute dream. The cast is astounding, the audiences are fantastic, and the energy is just electric every single night. I love being on stage.
