Fresh off securing the drivers’ world championship in the WEC and six titles in the North American IMSA series last season – Porsche is eager to continue their success at Le Mans.Leading the charge in the driver lineup is reigning Formula E World Champion and Porsche works driver,Pascal Wehrlein.
“Since the regulations were introduced, the Porsche 963 has proven to be the most accomplished lmdh race car in both the FIA WEC and the IMSA series,” says Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Porsche Motorsport. “Last year we secured pole position but couldn’t convert it into the result we hoped for. We’re hopeful that the conditions are right this year.”

Porsche faces stiff competition in the Hypercar class, with 21 entries from seven other manufacturers – most of whom are now entering their third season with well-coordinated teams.
