Under the leadership of David Vercasson, appointed in 2021, the hospital has prioritized maintaining a high level of activity across its various departments, including nursing homes, the main hospital, and the perinatal center.

“In four years, we have managed to put a lot in place,” Vercasson stated. “This has always been a shared will wiht doctors and our nursing executives in particular to maintain a sustained activity.” this commitment to robust service provision aims to showcase the hospital’s comprehensive care offerings and secure appropriate financial recognition and valuation.A key driver of this success has been the remarkable contribution of Dr. Amandine Chantre. Since her arrival in August 2018, Dr. Chantre,the hospital’s sole full-time physician,has exceptionally managed 30 beds,a feat considerably exceeding the typical doctor-to-bed ratio of 15-20. This sustained activity, directly correlated with Dr. Chantre’s efforts, has enabled the hospital to achieve balanced financial accounts. Notably, 2019 marked the first year of balanced accounts without relying on extraordinary subsidies from the ARS (French Regional Health agency).Financial recovery further strengthened in 2022,bolstered by the increase in bed capacity implemented in 2021.The hospital is also poised to benefit from the reform of the financing of the SMR (Medical and Rehabilitation Care) service. This reform will positively impact individuals undergoing physiotherapy or other rehabilitation sessions post-operation, allowing them to regain mobility and autonomy at Moze Hospital. Historically funded via a lump sum, the SMR service’s gradual funding increase until 2028 will provide additional resources to bolster healthcare teams, particularly in rehabilitation.In recognition of its improved financial standing and projected growth, the hospital’s board of directors has approved the recruitment of a second doctor, expected to join in January 2026. This expansion signifies a commitment to further strengthening the hospital’s capacity and care offerings.

In parallel with these developments, Moze Hospital continues its expansion, with a new PASA (pole of activities and adapted care) opening in Moze on May 21st. This marks another positive step in the hospital’s ongoing progress.
