Less than a day after a surprising split with Tony Stewart Racing, the ten-time world of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion has agreed to pilot the No. 15 machine for Big Game Motorsports in the upcoming seven World of Outlaws events.

The announcement came Thursday from Big Game Motorsports owner Tod Quiring, who expressed excitement about welcoming Schatz to the team. Quiring highlighted SchatzS remarkable track record, including ten championships and over 300 world of Outlaws victories, as key factors in the decision.

“Donny has produced a storied career with his 10 World of Outlaws championships and more than 300 World of Outlaws wins,” Quiring stated.”He is also known as one of the cleanest race car drivers in the history of the sport and he does a tremendous job of taking care of equipment. All of that combined with the support from our crew and driver, David Gravel, made it an easy decision to create this second team while the World of Outlaws are racing close to our shop the rest of August.”

Schatz’s debut with the Brandon,South Dakota-based team is scheduled for Friday at Ogilvie Raceway in Minnesota,as part of the big O Showdown,followed by a race at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson,Minnesota on Saturday.
