MANILA – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is intensifying its disaster relief operations in Cebu province, having already distributed 75,000 family food packs (FFPs) to affected local government units (LGUs). This swift action follows a recent assessment of the damage caused by a powerful earthquake that impacted multiple cities and municipalities.

The delivered FFPs represent a notable portion of the 142,000 packs requested by eleven Cebu LGUs.
