Indianapolis, IN (Dec 23, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Indianapolis’ near northeast side left one child dead and three others injured Tuesday afternoon. Police said IMPD officers responded to the intersection of 34th Street and N. Keystone Avenue at about 4:44 p.m.

Preliminary findings released Wednesday indicate a northbound truck ran a red light and struck a Hyundai traveling southbound as it attempted to turn onto 34th Street. The impact pushed the Hyundai off the roadway,causing it to collide with a fence.

Four children where passengers in the Hyundai’s rear seat at the time of the crash. All were transported to local hospitals. One child, transported to the hospital by a family member, later died.Of the remaining three, one was in critical condition and two were listed as stable.
