Charlotte Homicide Case: Suspect Arrested in Teen’s Death adn Pre‑Christmas Shootings

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — City investigators say a 22-year-old man, Aristides Eli Orellana-Ramirez, is the identified suspect in the murder of a 16-year-old boy and is connected to a string of shootings that occurred in the weeks before Christmas. Arrest warrants were issued, and Ramirez was located and taken into custody on January 8.After a homicide interview, he was transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

The individual died at a local hospital from those injuries. Detectives later confirmed that two victims were shot at the same location during the same incident and that the suspect left the scene to seek help.
