Breaking: Seodaemun Fire Station Confirms Successful Adaptation Training for New Assistants

Seodaemun Fire Station announced on the 15th that two newly appointed assistant firefighters have completed a four-day adaptation program to help them integrate quickly into the service.

The training, which ran from the 12th, aimed to accelerate acclimation to the fire service structure and build essential on-the-job skills for the newcomers.

The course covered core duties across key divisions, including the fire governance, disaster management, prevention, and field response teams. Core components included conducting oneself with integrity,training on firefighter service regulations,fire suppression tactics,rescue and suppression team operations,prevention administration and inspections,and the management of dispatch orders and repair methods in the situation room.

Both Uhm Ji-yeon and Han Min-yeop expressed that they felt a renewed sense of duty as they learned from seasoned personnel, pledging to stay true to their mission and work tirelessly for citizen safety.

Following completion, the new members will be assigned to respective departments to perform full firefighting duties. A readiness warning associated with the program will be lifted on the 29th.
