Collin Morikawa Wins AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am – First PGA Tour Title in 2 Years

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Collin Morikawa secured his seventh PGA TOUR victory and first since 2023 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday, February 15, 2026, overcoming a late challenge and battling blustery conditions to end a drought of over two years. The 29-year-old finished at 22-under par, edging out Min Woo Lee and Sepp Straka by one stroke at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Morikawa’s win, worth $3.6 million, marks a significant turning point in his career, silencing doubts that had begun to surface after a period without a title. The victory also earns him 700 FedExCup points, bolstering his position in the season-long standings. The dramatic finish saw Morikawa briefly relinquish the lead, but a clutch birdie on the 18th hole ultimately sealed the deal.

A Dramatic Finish on the 18th

Having held a two-stroke advantage with two holes to play, Morikawa’s lead evaporated as Australian Min Woo Lee birdied the 18th. Morikawa then found himself in trouble, bogeying the penultimate hole, tying the score with Lee and Austrian Sepp Straka at 21-under. A playoff seemed inevitable, but a delay of nearly 20 minutes as Jacob Bridgeman navigated strong winds on the 18th fairway provided a crucial moment for Morikawa to regroup.

Capitalizing on the pause, Morikawa hit a remarkable approach shot, setting up a short putt for birdie. He calmly converted the opportunity, carding a final-round 67 and finishing at 22-under par. “It’s special for a lot of reasons,” Morikawa said after the win. “I’ve put countless hours and nights – probably too many hours – thinking about golf. I kept believing in myself. Honestly, at the beginning of this week it didn’t really perceive like this was going to be possible.”

Morikawa’s Iron Play Key to Victory

Morikawa’s exceptional iron play was a defining factor throughout the tournament. He ranked first in strokes gained/approach, gaining over 10 shots on the field, and second in greens in regulation, hitting a mixed set of TaylorMade irons. His performance included a stunning third-round 62 where he became only the seventh player since 1985 to hit all 18 greens at Pebble Beach.

The winning shot on the 18th was struck with a TaylorMade P·DHY 4-Iron with a True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 shaft. Morikawa also switched golf balls this week to the firmer, lower-spinning TaylorMade TP5x. He consistently found fairways, ranking fifth in driving accuracy with an 8-degree TaylorMade Qi4D LS driver with a Mitsubishi Diamana WhiteBoard 63 X shaft.

Overcoming Past Heartbreaks

This victory is particularly meaningful for Morikawa, who had faced a string of near misses since his last win at the 2023 Zozo Championship in Japan, 848 days prior to his Pebble Beach triumph. He hadn’t won on U.S. Soil since the 2021 WGC-Workday Championship. Recent disappointments included a playoff loss at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic and a late collapse at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was played across the historic Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course in California, presenting golfers with a challenging test in shifting winds and tight leaderboard pressure. The tournament showcased a strong field, with Lee and Straka providing stiff competition throughout the final round.

What’s next for Morikawa remains to be seen, but this victory undoubtedly provides a significant boost of confidence as he looks ahead to the upcoming major championships and continues his pursuit of further success on the PGA TOUR.
