Public transit will continue to operate on a holiday schedule. The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) will run on its regular Monday schedule. GO Transit will also be running, though with reduced service on some lines.
Several attractions will be open for Family Day, offering activities for residents and visitors. The Toronto Zoo, Casa Loma, and the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) are among the venues planning special events. Movie theatres will also be open, providing a popular entertainment option.
Outside of Toronto, similar patterns are expected across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and southern Ontario. Municipal offices in cities like Mississauga, Brampton, and Hamilton will be closed, and most non-essential services will be unavailable. Retail hours will be limited, and public transit will operate on a holiday schedule.
The closure of banks and federal government offices is also anticipated. Canada Post will suspend mail delivery and retail counter services on Family Day.
