Masters of the Universe Publishing Program | Mattel

Mattel is gearing up for the June 5th theatrical release of the Masters of the Universe movie with a comprehensive rollout of fresh toys and action figures inspired by the film. The company is aiming to capitalize on the renewed interest in the iconic franchise, offering products for both dedicated collectors and younger fans.

The new line of Masters of the Universe merchandise will launch in April, bringing the world of Eternia to life with figures based on characters like He-Man and Skeletor. This isn’t just a revival of a classic; it’s a strategic expansion designed to meet diverse consumer preferences, from premium collectibles to kid-focused play sets.

New Action Figure Lines

Mattel is introducing several tiers of action figures. A core line of 5.5-inch scale figures, priced at $10.79 each, will include He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Beast Man, and Skel-Knight. These figures feature 14 points of articulation, making them ideal for play and posing. For fans seeking more dynamic play, the “Masters of the Universe Kids Feature Assortment” will offer Power Sword Slash He-Man and Havoc Staff Attack Skeletor, priced at $16.19. Beyond the core figures, Mattel is also releasing accessory vehicles and role-playing toys. The Battle Cat Feature Action Figure will be available for $21.59, alongside the Roton Assault Vehicle at $37.79. Fans can also embrace their inner villain with the Skeletor Talking Mask Role Play toy ($21.59) and a Power Sword replica ($43.19).

Expanding the Masters of the Universe Universe

The new toy line isn’t limited to action figures. Mattel is also offering a range of products through Mattel Creations, including exclusive designs and collectibles. Mattel Shop highlights the available merchandise and provides a link to the official movie trailer.

This expansive release strategy reflects Mattel’s commitment to the Masters of the Universe franchise. The company recognizes the enduring appeal of He-Man and Skeletor, and is leveraging the upcoming film to introduce the characters to a new generation while simultaneously catering to long-time fans. The initial global retail launch date for the entire Master of the Universe movie line is set for April 25.

The Masters of the Universe movie stars Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man and Jared Leto as Skeletor. IGN reported on the toy reveal, noting the figures were previewed at New York Toy Fair 2026.

As the release date approaches, fans can expect further reveals and updates on the full range of Masters of the Universe toys and collectibles. Mattel’s strategy suggests a long-term investment in the franchise, aiming to solidify its position as a cornerstone of pop culture for years to come.
