Snapchat is rolling out Creator Subscriptions, a new feature designed to deepen connections between fans and the creators they love while providing a sustainable revenue stream for those creators. The launch, which began with a limited alpha test on February 23rd with US-based creators, marks a significant step in Snapchat’s efforts to diversify its income beyond advertising and build a more robust creator economy. The platform, boasting 946 million monthly active users as of Q4 2025 , is expanding the program to Canada, the U.K., and France in the coming weeks.
The move comes as social media platforms increasingly recognize the importance of empowering creators and fostering direct financial support. Creator Subscriptions provide fans with exclusive content and perks in exchange for a monthly fee, fostering a more intimate and rewarding relationship with their favorite Snapchat personalities.

Unopened subscription Snaps remain available until opened, with the creator determining how long the Snap remains viewable after opening.
Priority Story replies ensure that a subscriber’s response to a public Story is highlighted for the creator. Creators also have the option to share subscriber responses in their public Story.
Managing Your Subscriptions

Selecting the three-dot action menu next to the creator’s name and choosing “Cancel Subscription” will end the subscription at the end of the current billing cycle, allowing continued access to benefits until that time .
