Mercedes Mone Announces March International Tour – No AEW Dates

by Luis Mendoza - Sport Editor

Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, is set to embark on a “March Madness” tour across the globe, defending a collection of independent championships she secured in 2025. The tour, announced via her “Mone Mag” newsletter, notably does not include any dates with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), despite a recent run with the promotion that ended with a focus on recovery.

Mone’s departure from AEW in January followed a storyline where she was interrupted during Willow Nightingale’s championship celebration. She announced her intention to step away to refocus and return stronger, and now fans will see her in action on a packed international schedule. Although her time with AEW was relatively short, her impact was felt, and the question of a potential return remains open.

The tour kicks off on March 6th at Arena Mexico, where Mone will defend the CMLL World Women’s Championship against either Olympia or Persephone, a challenger to be determined at a reveal this Friday in Mexico City. Two days later, on March 8th, she heads to Milan, Italy, for “Mone Mayhem,” defending the Bestya Women’s Championship against Swan. A joint event with BZW and Rixe Catch in Paris, France on March 14th, titled “Apogée,” will see Mone position her EWA Women’s Championship on the line against the Rixe Women’s Champion, Ophelie.

Mone’s schedule continues in the United Kingdom on March 21st, returning to RevPro for the “High Stakes” event in Wolverhampton. This marks her first appearance for the promotion since losing the Undisputed British Women’s Championship to Alex Windsor on an episode of “AEW Collision.” She’ll then travel to Poland for PTW’s “More Mone, More Problems” event on March 28th, where she is expected to defend the PTW Women’s Championship. The tour concludes on March 31st in Winnipeg, Canada, at Winnipeg Pro Wrestling’s “Fight at the Museum” event, defending the WPW Women’s Championship against the winner of the promotion’s annual Voyager Cup tournament.

Interestingly, while the tour schedule is extensive, every Wednesday in March remains open, as does the date of the Revolution pay-per-view on March 15th. This leaves the door open for a potential return to AEW during that period. Mone’s time away from the ring was, in part, to address nagging injuries, undergoing stem cell treatment to aid in her recovery.

A Focus on Independent Championships

The “March Madness” tour is centered around Mone defending the championships she’s accumulated on the independent circuit. This strategy allows her to continue building momentum and showcasing her skills across a variety of promotions while prioritizing her health. The diverse range of opponents and locations highlights her commitment to wrestling globally and engaging with fans worldwide.

What’s Next for “The CEO”?

While the immediate future sees Mone focused on her independent schedule, the possibility of a return to AEW hasn’t been ruled out. The open Wednesdays and the Revolution pay-per-view date suggest a potential appearance isn’t off the table. Her recovery from injuries will undoubtedly be a key factor in any decision regarding her next steps. The wrestling world will be watching closely to see where “The CEO” lands next.
