Singaporean businesses now have access to a centralized platform, GoBusiness, designed to streamline interactions with government agencies and identify available support schemes. The platform, developed by the Government Technology Agency (GovTech Singapore), aims to simplify business registration, licensing, and grant applications, consolidating over 120 e-services into a single access point.
GoBusiness features an “e-Adviser” tool that provides personalized recommendations based on a company’s specific needs. According to GovTech, the e-Adviser has already assisted over 56,000 users in identifying relevant government assistance programs. The platform has facilitated more than six million government-to-business transactions since its inception.
The initiative builds on a collaborative effort with industry partners and stakeholders, including SME Centres, to map the user journey for businesses seeking government support. SME Centres offer one-on-one business advisory sessions, workshops, and upgrading projects to help businesses grow, with complimentary consultations available at various locations.
Alongside GoBusiness, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) is promoting pro-enterprise initiatives focused on simplifying government procurement processes and encouraging the adoption of InvoiceNow, a digital invoicing network. These efforts aim to make it easier for businesses to engage with the government and receive timely payments.
GoBusiness is intended to connect businesses to relevant government services and provide personalized advice, addressing a common challenge for entrepreneurs navigating the complexities of Singapore’s regulatory landscape. The platform’s development reflects a broader government strategy to enhance the business environment and support economic growth.
As of July 8, 2025, GoBusiness continues to be updated with new e-services and features, with GovTech actively seeking feedback from businesses to improve the platform’s usability and effectiveness. The platform’s ongoing development suggests a commitment to adapting to the evolving needs of the Singaporean business community.
