Carmen Maria Vega & Pitch Up Live at Los Bambasitos – March 14th

Eauze, France – This Saturday, March 14th, Los Bambasitos’ performance space, La Bodéga, will host “L’Académie des Dames,” a unique evening celebrating female artists in contemporary music. The event will feature performances by the dynamic Carmen Maria Vega and the reggae sounds of Pitch Up, promising a diverse and energetic night for music lovers in the Gers department.

The evening is part of a broader initiative by Los Bambasitos, launched in 2023, to highlight the contributions of women in the music industry. This system provides female artists with opportunities for creative perform, expression, and collaboration, including artist residencies and educational outreach. The event aims to foster a space for both artistic development and community engagement.

Carmen Maria Vega, described as a powerful and unconventional vocalist, will capture the stage with musician Antoine Rault. Rault, known for his work with Lescop, Forver Pavot, and Vox Low, contributes his skills as a bassist, guitarist, arranger, and “geek magician of machines” to Vega’s performance. Together, they present “Carmen Ultra,” a show that blends rock, chanson, and electronic music, celebrating femininity and self-expression. Vega’s performance promises a captivating experience, drawing from both established songs and original compositions.

Following Vega, Pitch Up will bring her signature reggae energy to La Bodéga. Pitch Up is the vocalist for Irie Jahzz, a reggae group that has been performing for over a decade, known for its conscious lyrics and improvisational dub style. Composed of seven members, Irie Jahzz, with Pitch Up at the helm, is celebrated for its vibrant live shows and the singer’s compelling stage presence.

The evening’s schedule begins at 7:00 PM with the opening of doors and an apéritif featuring grilled food and fresh fries. A surprise concert is scheduled for 8:30 PM, followed by a DJ set from Pitch Up at 9:30 PM. Carmen Maria Vega is set to perform at 10:30 PM, with Pitch Up returning for a full concert at midnight. Tickets are available for purchase at www.bambasitos.com.

Los Bambasitos’ commitment to showcasing female talent extends beyond performance opportunities. The “L’Académie des Dames” too includes artist residencies with school outreach programs and a conference organized in partnership with the OCTOPUS federation, further solidifying its dedication to supporting women in music.

Ticket prices are €8 in advance and €10 at the door. The event will be held at Place St Taurin, 32800 Eauze, France. Attendees can find more information and reserve their spots online at Billetweb and AllEvents.

As “L’Académie des Dames” continues to evolve, it promises to remain a vital platform for female artists, fostering creativity and providing a space for expression within the contemporary music scene. The next event in the series is scheduled for April 11, 2026, at Los Bambasitos.
