HeyMax: Instant Flying Blue Mile Transfers Now Available

Singapore, March 22, 2026 – HeyMax has streamlined access to Air France-KLM Flying Blue miles for its users, introducing direct transfers within the HeyMax app. The change, announced today, allows Max Miles to be instantly converted to Flying Blue miles, a significant improvement over the previous “Cash For Miles” system.

Previously, converting Max Miles to Flying Blue miles required users to wait up to five business days for a prepaid Visa debit card, then manually purchase miles on the Air France-KLM website. The older method also imposed a higher minimum conversion threshold of 10,000 miles. The new direct transfer option requires a minimum of just 1,000 miles for the initial conversion, with subsequent transfers possible in increments of as little as one mile.

The transfer ratio remains at 1:1, and all conversions are free of charge. HeyMax confirmed the change applies to all users and is immediately available through the HeyMax app. Users will demand to link their Flying Blue account to their HeyMax account, a connection that is permanent and cannot be reversed, according to HeyMax.

Flying Blue joins Qatar Privilege Club, Accor Live Limitless, and Cathay Pacific Asia Miles as direct transfer partners within the HeyMax ecosystem. HeyMax has indicated plans to add further partners in the future.

While the new system offers increased convenience, HeyMax has implemented a current annual cap of 100,000 Max Miles that can be converted to Flying Blue miles. The company stated it is working to remove this limitation, but no timeline for lifting the cap has been provided.

Flying Blue does not publish a fixed award chart, meaning the number of miles required for a specific flight can vary. However, opportunities exist for advantageous redemptions. According to HeyMax resources, a one-way business class flight between Singapore and Europe can be booked for as few as 85,000 miles, while a one-way business class flight to Bali starts from 25,000 miles with KLM, or 21,500 miles with Garuda.

Flying Blue awards can be changed or cancelled for a fee of EUR 70. The program also does not absorb fuel surcharges. From May 4, 2026, Flying Blue will update its expiry policy to extend the life of a member’s entire mileage balance with any earning activity, though redemption will not extend the miles’ validity. HeyMax advises against holding miles for extended periods due to the dynamic pricing of Flying Blue awards.

HeyMax currently offers direct transfer options to over 30 airline and hotel partners, categorized as either direct transfers or “Cash For Miles” options. Direct transfers, like the new Flying Blue integration, offer instant conversion and lower minimums compared to the older system.
