A 4th dose of vaccine today on the North Shore

the 4e dose of vaccine once morest COVID-19 has been available on the North Shore since Tuesday, March 29.

This booster dose is available for vulnerable individuals at greater risk of complications from COVID-19. The CISSS Côte-Nord therefore invites people living in a living environment (CHSLD, RI-RTF and RPA), people aged 80 and over and immunocompromised people to pick up their 4e booster dose.

Appointments can be made at clicsante.ca or at 1 877 644-4545. This measure is part of the context of an increase in contagion caused by the presence of the BA2 variant, as is the case in Europe, but also in Quebec, where we can already see its growing presence.

The Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé, recalls that this new dose of vaccine aims to better protect the most vulnerable people once morest the consequences of an increase in contagion in Quebec. It is part of a desire to offer additional immunization to these citizens, who are already well protected by previous doses, but who might be at greater risk due to the arrival of the BA2 variant.
