A campaign warns that tourist Florida, the “sunshine state”, is flooded | Economy | America Edition

A tourist souvenir shop in Florida serves as the setting for an impressive campaign to raise awareness of the climate emergency in the so-called “Sunshine State”, a place that paradoxically lacks a transition plan towards renewable energies, according to its promoters.

In the video of the campaign “Florida, the State of Emergency”, which is launched this Monday, the buyers of that fictitious store are surprised by the jets that enter through the sides and in a matter of seconds the defenseless tourists have the water up to their heels, trapped in a flooded room and a picture of the threat that rising sea levels pose to everyday life.
