A child was seriously injured following being hit by a vehicle on Monday morning in the Ville-Marie borough of Montreal.
“On the scene, the patrol officers assisted a seriously injured minor,” said Constable Julien Levesque, spokesperson for the Montreal Police Service (SPVM).
The young victim was quickly taken care of by paramedics and transported to a hospital center.
The motorist did not stop and continued on his way.
A perimeter was erected on site to allow investigators to analyze the scene and meet witnesses.
