Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Othman, professor and clinical education consultant, revealed the truth regarding genetically modifying wheat and its impact on human health.
Al-Othman said, through the “Yahla Al-Arfaj” program, on the “Rotana Khaleejia” channel, that there is no scientific evidence that genetically modifying wheat is harmful to human health, and laboratories cannot prove whether wheat is modified or not.
He called on the regulatory authorities to prove the validity of the claim of those who said that wheat is genetically modified and to demand scientific evidence for that, pointing out that this false information led to confusion in society.
The consultant added: “Not all international food-producing companies are safe for our health, because profit comes first.”
And he indicated that there are cases that cannot tolerate gluten, as there are those who have a deficiency in enzymes, and health problems may occur following eating foods that contain wheat and barley.
