A double in 5 minutes: supersub Michy Batshuayi keeps Galatasaray alive

Michy Batshuayi has struck again. While Galatasaray were trailing 2-0 on Young Boys’ turf in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs, “Batsman“, who came on shortly after the hour mark, scored two goals in the space of five minutes to keep the Turkish club alive ahead of the return leg. The Swiss eventually won 3-2.

Scorer for his first league match with the “Cimbom“, Galatasaray’s designated supersub did it again on Wednesday evening. One minute after coming on, Batshuayi reduced the gap from a corner (2-1, 67′) and five minutes later, he equalised with a fine left-footed strike (2-2, 72′). Young Boys nevertheless regained the advantage at the end of the match from a penalty (3-2, 86′).

The return match will take place next Tuesday in Türkiye.
