A case of abuse shook the city of Lamia, in which a father repeatedly fasted his five children in order to punish them, with the tolerance of their mother.

The drama of five children between the ages of 5 and 16, brought to light the Three-member Misdemeanor Court of Lamia, in which a man who acts as the partner of the mother and the father of the minors punishes them by leaving them without food. In a case of abuse, the perpetrator was found guilty of serial and serial domestic bodily harm.

The four oldest children out of five were from the woman’s first marriage, while the defendants gave birth to the youngest.

According to the indictment, the man continuously made the five children fast as a sign of punishment, while there were many times when he beat them. All this with the mother’s tolerance, as it was originally formulated.

An extreme scene of the father’s violent behavior was when he threatened his partner’s eldest son with a carbine, when he was only 14.5 years old.

The defendant was found guilty by the Court of continuous and consecutive domestic bodily harm while imposing a sentence of one year in prison for each child, which when merged reached 36 months, with the statutory provision of 3 years probation.

The mother was found not guilty for complicity in the above act but also for complicity in exposing her minor children to danger.
