Inadequate legal framework, barriers to employment and training, restricted political rights, forced sterilizations or discriminatory architecture: these are just some of the shortcomings of Switzerland in terms of the inclusion of people with disabilities, assessed at 1.8 million in the country. These harsh findings were made by the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in its assessment released in March.
