Many fire teams from the Hadera station and assistance from aerial firefighting, worked in the early evening (26.8, 6:15 p.m.) on a thorn fire that is approaching houses in the Gan Shomron area of Menashe, near Pardes Hana-Karkur.
There are strong winds in the place which make the extinguishing operations difficult, but the teams are working in place to prevent the spread of the fire, as of this moment there is no control over the incident.
About two hours later, the Hadera fire department announced that the fire had been brought under control. “The fighters stopped the fire and prevented a very significant incident,” it was reported.
