A Lebanese movie on the sidelines of Venice | Movies and TV shows

Director Wissam Sharaf is preparing to travel to Italy to accompany the competition of his new film: “Copper Iron Batteries”, in the competition: Giornai degli Autori, an independent event of the 79th Venice International Film Festival (between August 31 and September 10 next) and to be held this year its 19th session.

The film presents a relationship between a Syrian-Lebanese young man, Ziad Jallad, who works in collecting scrap from the streets of Beirut, and an Ethiopian-French girl of Ethiopian origin, Clara Cotton, who are looking for an opportunity to travel together from Lebanon to the West.

Wissam wrote the script with Hala Dabaji and Mariette Dusser, while the jury in the competition was chaired by French director Céline Siama.
