Apple could launch a new MacBook Pro sometime in the second half of the year.
Specialist analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is making new predictions regarding Apple’s 2021 plans. According to him, the Cupertino company is preparing to unveil a new MacBook Pro during the second half of the year. This would mark the return of a much-missed component; an SD card reader.
This is not the first time that this possibility has been mentioned. Last month, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, who is often well informed, previously spoke about thee return of the SD card reader within MacBooks. But that’s not the only significant change the new MacBook Pro would introduce. Still according to Ming-Chi Kuo, it would also be a question of an HDMI port.
Apple would therefore opt for practical changes for users. The new high-end MacBook would therefore offer more connectivity, to the delight of their owners. They would not have to buy an adapter and take it with them on the go.
The new MacBook Pro would obviously be available in two models of 14 and 16 inches. The MagSafe charger would be on the program again, as well as the Apple Silicon M1 home processor. Finally, Apple should logically give up on the Touch Bar of the MacBook Pro, due to its lack of popularity with users.
