Ruth Maier’s life ended in the gas chamber. Murdered in the Auschwitz concentration camp at the age of just 22. Not a story that would be suitable as a template for a musical. At least not at first glance. Because Elisabeth Sikora and Markus Olzinger, founders and directors of the Musical Spring in Gmunden, realized that there was much more.
