Christian Thoma tested positive upon arriving in Finland for Levi’s women’s slaloms. Asymptomatic, he was placed in quarantine.
The FIS announced on Wednesday the positive control for Covid-19 of a member of the staff of the Swedish delegation on the sidelines of the Levi (FIN) slaloms, scheduled for this weekend. It is in fact the trainer Christian Thoma, confirmed the federation with the three crowns, which explains that it is negative. The technician, along with another trainer who traveled with him but tested negative (Lars Melin), have been placed in quarantine.
No other member of the Swedish team was reportedly exposed. Moreover, the entire Scandinavian group has tested negative. The two isolated men did not have any contact with the charter which arrived on Wednesday in Kittilä, near Levi, and which would transport most of the skiers and staff of the World Cup teams.
