A Recap of Forbidden Door 2023: CM Punk, Kenny Omega, and the Young Bucks Share Backstage Arena, Bryan Danielson Injured, and All Out 2023 Announcement

2023-06-26 07:00:00

Sunday night during Forbidden Door, CM Punk, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks found themselves in the same backstage arena for the first time since their altercation at All Out 2022. But AEW did their best to avoid any problems.

According to our source Select, we learn that l’Elite (Kenny Omega & the Young Bucks) and CM Punk were placed in entirely different locations backstage at Forbidden Door, which was taking place from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

We don’t know if they received instructions not to move into other people’s quarters, but that seems to have been enough to avoid conflicts.

The Main Event of Forbidden Door 2023 saw Bryan Danielson beat Kazuchika Okada almost 30 minutes into the match. Unfortunately for him, the Blackpool Combat Club member suffered an injury during his match.

Danielson therefore revealed during the press conference following the show that he was injured. He thinks he fractured his forearm when there were still 10 minutes left in the game. But he still managed to finish the fight and reveals that doctors estimate a 6-8 week absence, which would be just in time to appear at All-Out at the end of August.

We wish a speedy recovery to Bryan Danielson.

Speaking of All Out, All Elite Wrestling made the official announcement during Forbidden Door and will hold their 2023 edition next September.

AEW All Out 2023 will therefore take place at the United Center in Chicago on Sunday, September 3, just one week following All In from Wembley Stadium in London. In the same week, Dynamite and Rampage will be held from the Now Arena in Chicago, followed by Collision on Saturday, September 2 at the United Center.

A busy week for the company to end the month of August and start the month of September.
