Taking diet seriously is a critical step in managing cancer at any stage, and one food is often touted as being rich in nutrients but increasing the risk of fatal prostate cancer by up to 70 percent, according to express.

Some scientists have warned that diets focused on eating eggs can increase the risk of “aggressive” prostate cancer.

Inadequate intake of fat choline, a major component of eggs, has previously been linked to an increased risk of fatal disease, and one study of 47,896 men found that a high choline intake “increases the risk of prostate cancer by 70 percent, compared to men who ate the least amount of choline.” choline;

The daily intake of dietary choline for men is half a gram, while women are advised to have a smaller amount. Other dietary sources of choline include meat, milk and poultry.

The researchers explained in the study: “Choline is highly concentrated in prostate cancer cells, and its concentration in the blood has been confirmed with an increased risk of prostate cancer.”

Nutrients are seen by some studies as essential for cognitive development, with the greatest concern associated with killer brains. Low nutrient intake has also been previously linked to the development of fatty liver and liver damage, which nutrition expert Emma Derbyshire has confirmed that choline deficiency may cause a health crisis.

But choline-rich foods aren’t the only ones linked to an increased risk of prostate cancer. Studies have also shown an association between saturated fat intake and an increased risk of prostate cancer.

These findings inform suggestions that a plant-based diet could be more protective against the deadly disease. Mounting evidence suggests that a vegan diet is most protective, says Dr. Bradley MacGregor, an oncologist at Harvard-affiliated Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

“There is no miracle diet for prostate cancer…but as we learn more about the role that diet plays in disease prevention, there is growing evidence that plant-based diets may reduce the risk of prostate cancer and even help slow its spread.”

Research suggests that a plant-based diet can be the most protective because it contains fewer foods that are high in cholesterol and saturated fat.
