The latest mutated Omicron strain of the novel coronavirus is undergoing a very rapid evolution. One of its advantages is that it is fast contagious.
In this regard, immunologist Professor Luke O’Neill, from Trinity College Dublin, said that Omicron BA.5 is strange and causes one additional symptom to appear during the night, according to the British newspaper “Daily Express”.
Professor O’Neill added: “One of the additional symptoms of BA.5 I saw this morning was night sweats.” It is what the professor described as strange.
As revealed by the NHS, night sweats occur when you sweat so much that your night clothes and bedding become wet when you wake up, and the symptom is usually associated with other conditions. Like menopause, anxiety and hyperhidrosis, however, night sweats have now been linked to the strain that is common in different countries of the world.
