I think I have a sleeper agent code in my head telling me to love Destiny.
It feels like you can do almost anything in Minecraft these days – the entire Fallout: New Vegas map? Sure why not. A custom D&D mod? It’s possible. Officially licensed creations and fan art are increasingly impressive, and this latest sneak peek creation from a Destiny 2 follower continues that trend.
Posted to the Destiny 2 subreddit yesterday, user tinyrottedpig casually revealed that they’re developing a working recreation of the game – and it’s seriously impressive. “I love Minecraft and Destiny 2 and wanted to combine the two,” writes tinyrottedpig. “I have reconstructed much of the original four locations from The Red War, using hours of footage found online. »
The author did not content himself with resurrecting vaulted areas of the game, even if the scale of the latter is impressive. They also transferred an arsenal of weapons, enemies, and two entire Strike missions: Insight Terminus and The Pyramidion. Here is an extract where they attack a boss. They also showed off one of the transferred Exotics, the Two-Tailed Fox, a snippet of which you can see below:

The thread deservedly got over 2,000 upvotes, as well as stunned comments regarding this super fan’s dedication. User 1socot1p0p0 asks, “Man, are you okay? to which the tiny pig ominously replies, “I think I have some sleeper agent code in my head that tells me to love Destiny.”
This isn’t the first time you can play Destiny 2 in Minecraft: in May, the Vow of the Disciple raid was turned into blocks by builder Jp Creations and youtuber Toidi. But this is one person, who quietly spent months working before emerging from his cave with a ton of weapons and custom enemy types, and a fully functional server.
As for future updates, tinyrottedpig has a few plans: “Right now I’m planning to add more gear and complete the progression, maybe add a few more areas to the locations as none of them are fully completed, once I have time I will probably add more activities. »
Things have been a bit hectic in Destiny 2 lately, with a poorly received State of the Game blog post leading to a change in the pace of development, as well as a blunt admission that the post should not have been published. If you want to escape all the blame and outrage from the community, blowing up strikes in Minecraft isn’t a bad idea. Maybe you might build a game with better vibes.
