An American teacher became a “millionaire” overnight following winning a large amount of money because of the Moroccan national team.
The teacher won 1.6 million Australian dollars (one million US dollars) following predicting that Morocco would reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup, which happened following the “Atlas Lions” were eliminated by Spain.
According to a report on the “sports bible” website, an American man in his twenties who works as a volleyball teacher bet $90,000 on Morocco’s national team to pass Spain, to win more than a million dollars because of his correct prediction.
The winner said: I was checking my phone from time to time, but I did not watch the match. I do not know the name of a single player from Morocco.
He continued: I will not lie and say that I knew what I was doing, at the end of the day it was a lucky bet. I’m just an ordinary guy.
The Moroccan national team will face its Portuguese counterpart on Saturday, and the winner will meet the winner of the England-France match.
