Barcelona footballer Lamine Yamal made club history following becoming the youngest player to record minutes for the Catalans in La Liga. This happened in Saturday’s match with Betis, won 4:0 at the Camp Nou.

Yamal made his debut for the first team at the age of 15 years and 290 days. He is also the fifth youngest in La Liga history, with the record held by Mallorca’s Luca Romero.

In the meeting with “Betis” the Catalans did not have any particular problems. Andreas Christensen opened in the 14th minute, and at the end of the first half the game was decided. First Edgar Gonzalez from Betis was sent off with two yellow cards, then two quick goals fell for Barcelona – Robert Lewandowski scored in the 36th minute and Rafinha in the 39th minute.

The final score was set in the 82nd minute following an own goal by Guido Rodríguez.

With the win, Barcelona now need just eight points to secure the La Liga title.

Earlier on Saturday, “Real” (Madrid) also recorded success, beating “Almeria” 4:2. Karim Benzema scored a hat trick in the match.
