A tourist bus caught fire in South Sinai… and investigations reveal

A tourist bus was burnt today, Friday, on the Dahab-Cairo road, the passengers were saved by divine providence, and the bus was evacuated without any of the passengers being injured,

Major General Sherif Raouf, Director of South Sinai Security, received a report from the Rescue Operations Room stating that a fire had broken out in a tourist bus on the international road, 3 kilometers from the city of Tur Sinai.

Initial investigations revealed that the bus was coming from the city of Dahab to Cairo, carrying 47 passengers, including 3 foreign tourists, and the rest Egyptians.

The bus passengers were transferred to another bus to complete their journey. The Public Prosecution was notified to investigate the incident, and the initial examination confirmed that the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit.
