A treaty between Italy and France to relaunch European integration

The Roman sky took on French and Italian colors on Friday. The aerial acrobatics of arrows transalpines and the Patrouille de France attests to the historical importance given to the day. Under the smoke in the colors of the flags of the two countries, Mario Draghi and Emmanuel Macron signed the Treaty of the Quirinal, named after the palace of the Italian presidency in Rome. The fifteen-page text aims to provide a framework for “enhanced bilateral cooperation” and, implicitly, to accelerate European integration.
