It’s a twist that no one expected. In the very singular case, known as “the pen”, the notable Solothurn, sentenced to 13 years in prison at first instance for having asphyxiated his wife with a cushion, delivers a new version which is no longer that of a natural death , but of a sexual game that would have slipped. This volte-face comes less than a month before the appeal trial which is due to open on February 27 in Geneva.
