Last April, the American country star donated $ 1 million for research into the novel coronavirus at Vanderbilt University.

A little over seven months later, we learn that the singer’s donation was used to fund research for Moderna’s vaccine.

Parton’s name appears in preliminary vaccine documents.

The singer’s donation was originally made in honor of her friend and teacher at Vanderbilt, Dr. Naji Abumrad.
