Justice is conducting an investigation to find out if the weapon that magnet fishermen recovered in the Damme canal is linked to the Killers of Walloon Brabant, announced Sunday evening VTM Nieuws and Het Laatste Nieuws.
Local police were notified on Saturday evening that a weapon had been recovered from the canal. The machine gun is possibly linked to a bloody attack in a Colruyt in Nivelles in 1983. If it turns out that it is indeed a weapon linked to the Killers of Walloon Brabant, it would be an important step forward for the ‘investigation.
“But it is too early to tell. It is still necessary to prove that this discovery is indeed linked to the file“, said the federal prosecutor’s office to the media.
