This morning a fatal road accident occurred in Catriel. A woman died from the accident and the driver is serious. They assure that there are indications that the van they were occupying was going at high speed.
The Catriel 25 site reported that the incident occurred this morning, around 1:30. It happened on Route 151, in the southern access of the town.
It was detailed that the couple was traveling in a Toyota Hilux van that collided with two public lighting columns and a power line pole. After that, the roll overturned.
From the site they assured that due to the skid marks, it is understood that the truck was going at high speed.
They stressed that the driver is a recognized young man in Catriel. They indicated that due to the seriousness of his injuries he had to be referred to Alto Valle, although it was not clarified which one.
The identity of the woman has not yet been officially revealed.
